Jumping rope, band training and boxing are among the most favorite celebrity workouts.
Celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal, Kate Hudson and Adriana Lima have men and women drooling over their divine bodies. Lucky for us, they don’t just reveal their picture-perfect, sculpted bodies, they also give us sneak peeks into their favorite workouts.
Boxing and Kickboxing
The Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima is spreading awe and wonder wherever she is be it the catwalk or the street. The Brazilian brunette model is known and quite vocal about her fitness and dieting habits.
Lima, who is no stranger to hard workouts has said many times that her angelic body is the result of jump rope training and boxing. Yes, boxing.
Boxing is the go-to workout for the 33 year old bombshell for keeping her body lean, toned and super hot. She might look sexy and feminine but a rigorous workout doesn’t scare her:
"[My workouts are] really intense," she says. "It's not really the amount of time you spend working out, it's the intensity. I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights. If I am not moving I get bored very easily," Lima said in a past interview.
Boxing is a popular calorie-busting workout for both men and women that want to improve their cardio and strengthen their entire body.
While Lima is a boxing fanatic, other equally breathtaking celebrities choose kickboxing, the workout that integrates boxing punches and some kid-you-not kicks. From Angelina Jolie to Lauren Conrad and Ashley Greene, female celebrities swear by this highly effective workout. Kickboxing perfectly combines strength-training and a high-endurance cardio workout, an essential combination for a to-die-for strong body.
Hop, Hop, Who’s There?
Jumping rope is a classic. It will never go out of style no matter how many new, hybrid workouts become trendy. It is a customizable workout that offers you variety of exercises, lower body strengthening and helps you build cardio endurance and burn calories and fat fast.
For these and many other reasons, many celebrities swear by jump rope workouts. So whether they’re using a speed rope or a regular jump rope, the result is always the same, a total body workout that invigorates your body and keeps you lean and toned.
Adriana Lima who return to the catwalks just eight weeks after giving birth to her daughter has famously said that she does jump rope during her daughter’s nap time!
Kate Hudson is another jump rope fanatic that keeps her body strong and toned with this foolproof workout. According to Hudson’s personal trainer, Kate Hudson always carries a skipping rope with her wherever she’s travelling to and manages to squeeze exercise bouts in her hectic schedule.
The same goes for Padma Lakshmi and Justin Bieber who according to E! Online share a passion for this exemplar workout.
Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed that he did jump rope workouts to get fit for his upcoming boxing film Southpaw. He even showed off his skipping rope skills on Ellen DeGeneres.
Resistance-Band Train Like A Kardashian
Resistance band training is all the rage. It’s a compact workout for your entire body that lets you increase the intensity of your training as much as you want and so you get stellar, targeted results.
It also enables you to strengthen and tone muscle groups in your body that other types of workout cannot reach or as effectively focus on.
Resistance band training is often integrated in classes such as Pilates or can be a stand alone workout in which you do classic routines likes squats, lunges and pushups using a resistance band for added intensity.
Last year, Khloe Kardashian reveals how she did band training to get in shape and even shared an Instagram video that reveals one of her go-to exercises.
